Buying a Used Bike in PDX Hi All,
We were big dumb-dumbs and left our garage open overnight which, as one might expect, means we are now one bike shy... my wife’s....

There's an old man named Gene on SE 15 th/Salmon who fixes up old bikes and sells them. He'll usually have a bunch of them sitting outside along the curb, he's super friendly and has great prices. My girlfriend and I got two matching bikes from him for $90 a piece.

Not really what you were asking, but there’s some tweakers on 14 th and Hawthorne with a whole garage full of ,allegedly, stolen bikes. Maybe you can be reunited with her old bike?

Check out Bike Farm or the Community Cycling Center. Do not buy via [Offerup.com](https://Offerup.com), it's essentially all stolen bikes there. In fact you should monitor offerup to watch for your own stolen bikes to appear there for sale.
What DC-area bike shops can you recommend for e-bikes? I'm specifically looking for a folding ebike, something small enough to fit in the back of my i3.

Went to College Park cycles, they had no folders. Went to Proteus, they let me ride the one Dahon folder they had, 7 speed Shimano shifters. Went to Green Commuters, they said go find a folder I like and they would electrify it for me. So, so far, I don't have a bike. Have been looking at electrified Brompton but after buying Model S I have no toy money for awhile. ;-)
