Seattle Smith? A friend who lives in Seattle wants someone to open the load port and do a little shell catch smoothing on his versamax. They aren't willing to do it...

I'd call [West Coast Armory](http://www.westcoastarmory.com/), or [LowPrice](http://www.lowpriceguns.com/). Wade's dicked me over on something. It was minor and trivial, but I don't appreciate it, and will never send business their way. I have other friends who have similar complaints about them.

I'm not sure about that work specifically, but Fred at [C.A.R. Firearms](http://carfirearms.com) in Kent (formerly Tukwila) is great to work with and reasonably priced. My favorite 'smith in the area!

OP it's not that hard to do yourself. For the price of a die grinder / dremel tool you can knock it out in an afternoon. I jumped right in with no experience and it turned out great.
Western Washington Gunsmith I am in need of a gunsmith to thread a barrel on a CZ 527 in 22 Hornet. Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

Western Washington is a big area. Care to narrow it down? I use https://www.facebook.com/pages/Morrow-W-C-Gunsmith/147329611978064 which is a small garage hole in the wall gunsmith in Lacey Washington.

I confidently use the guy at West Coast Armory, in Bellevue. You can call them at 425-641-2877

Millard at Summit Arms (inside The Marksman off Canyon) is a good guy, although I've not had any large jobs for him.

Take it to Jody at REHV Arms in Covington. He is an expert gunsmith, especially CZs

Jones Arms in Sequim did fantastic engraving for me, and they offer other gunsmithing services. Good luck!

The Bass pro shop in Tacoma has some I think. I know for a fact that the sportsman's Warehouse in Federal way and maybe even the one in Puyallup have ARs right now. I've been to all three stores in the last two days

Build your own. Or buy a complete lower and a complete upper. That way you don’t have to deal with the 1639 bullshit. Rainier Arms is where I go.
