Still can't hear out of my left ear... last night I tried a cotton ball soaked in coconut oil but nothing changed.. any recommendations? Besides going to the doctor,...
Here are some suggestions. If you have a Dr. you can try to call the office ask for a nurse and explain your insurance situation and see what they can suggest to get you through 'til insurance kicks in. Tell them if you have been sick and your symptoms. If you have a good relationship with them and it hasn't been too long they may have samples to get you through for a little bit. You could also try going into Walgreen and talking to the pharmacist. Sometimes they can make suggestions. Tony at the Bourbonnias Walgreen's is helpful. Or you could call and see if the K3 County Health Department can help you out. Tylenol, A warm blow dryer on low can help with the discomfort. Don't blow it into the ear canal. Try the over the counter antihistamines to dry things up. 2 thoughts here 1. try to sleep on the opposite side to make the fluids drain the other way or 2. sleep on that side and allow things to drain should the eardrum have an opening from the pressure. Warm compresses on the ear. Try to NOT put anything into the canal to prevent injury and to guard against infection should you have in injury already. Feel better.
