Try the Signature Cafe in MPLS! It's very close to the new Surly Brewery. The chef was the Head Chef at the White House during the Clinton Administration. Amazing pot roast! Very intimate feel.

Trader Joes is great! There's some meal services which can be spendy but convenient and keep you from buying extra or making bad choices while at the store! Origin meals is local and you can pick up or have delivered and pick which type and how many days per week. Some of the other ones just be careful as they're not as healthy as they seem.

Call the BP Hyvee. They have registered dieticians on staff that do free store tours to show you healthy foods or healthy alternatives to your favorite not so healthy foods. They also offer cooking classes. The dietician at BP is Kylie Ryan and she's awesome!

Does anyone know where you can buy egg whites by the gallon (or in large quantities)? Perhaps a bakery or restaurant?! Thanks!
Melissa O. replied:
We buy our egg whites at Aldi Nicole Myren. We mix them with our shakes. The price is the cheapest I've found which makes up for the small container they come in.

Dave and Busters in Maple Grove has games and if you order before 5 pm they have eat and play combos. I've also heard The Lookout in Maple Grove has a nice playground.
I am wondering if Que Viet in Brooklyn Center has it. I am sure they do since it is a Vietnamese restaurant. Located on Brooklyn Blvd just south of 694. Between a gas station and a American Legion (I believe). Also, I highly recommend their egg rolls (out of this world!) and their special fried rice. My kids will just get those two things for dinner as it is very filling. Worth the drive!

Ginza is very good in Champlin, we have been there about 10 times. The sashimi and burning man rolls are good. My wife and I went to Mt. Fuji in MG for our anniversary a couple months ago and were very disappointed. Here is a coupon..http://www.ginzachamplin.com/coupon.aspx

If we're venturing out of Champlin.... Ginger Cafe in Ramsey is my fave. I also love Lemongrass in Brooklyn Park. There used to be a place in New Hope call the Hot Wok...or something like that that had the BEST spicy chicken garlic sauce.

Girvan Grill and Roasted Pear in Brooklyn Park both have very nice brunch buffets! Are they more expensive on Mother's Day? Of course, but if that's what mom wants, I'd gladly pay more!

Tasty Pizza in Dayton delivers to Champlin if you like thin crust. It's not as good as the original one in Columbia Heights though.
Recommendation- which restaurant offers the best salad in Champlin?
Marcy S. replied:
Roasted Cobb Salad at Roasted Pear in BP. Delicious and huge! My hubby and I can easily share it (dinner portion) and both be full. Get the Home made Blue cheese dressing. 90% of their menu items are made from scratch. Amazing food.
