Wondering if anyone knows a cost effective dentist that direct bills having major teeth pain and probably need a lot of work done at one time

Ocean Park Dental is great, Only does work that needs to be done. I've had different dentists over the years. Can't say enough about Ocean Park.

Check with Burnside Dental Clinic. They seem really good there and I could be wrong but I am pretty sure they direct bill. They are right there by Pets Unlimited.

Hello everyone, we are recently new to the area. I'm

Welcome to Porters Lake!:) As for dentists, Porters Lake Dental is excellent!! (827-4746). For child care, I highly recommend Busy Bee Daycare(827-2333). They have 3 locations in the area: one in Porters Lake on West Porters Lake Road, one in Lake Echo, and one in Musquodoboit Harbour. Both my girls went to the Lake Echo location several years ago, and they were fantastic there! (all three locations are owned by the same person, so I expect you'd have the same high quality of care at all three locations).
Julie M. replied:
Welcome! I second Porters Lake Dental as excellent. My son went to Through the Looking Glass daycare (above the porters lake mall) and really enjoyed it. We have a dr at Mineville medical and like them there although sometimes you have a wait awhile.
Joanne M. replied:
Welcome! The Eastern Shore Family Resource is a fantastic place to go with your 1 year old and meet people from the area. All programs are free. There is a summer drop in that you can take all ages to as well. Their centre is located above the vet/bank in Porters Lake. Their number is 827-1461 or you can find them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/102558866505492/ I also recommend Erica's Daycare, all three of my daughters went there and loved it. They have after school care as well. Not sure if they take under 18mths though. Porters Lake Dental is definitely the place to go. You may want to check with the hospital in Musquodoboit harbour, Twin Oaks, for a list of doctors accepting new patients in the area. In a pinch you can make appointments to see a doctor there on an outpatient basis. If you are looking for local family based events check out https://www.facebook.com/shorefamilyfun.

I think it is usually coming from genuine concern; but I also dislike reviewing and defending my entire lifestyle every time I go in.

Greg MacKenzie at Trimac in Halifax. When I started going to him 17 years ago, I had been avoiding dentists for a while and needed a lot of work. He is also very good at dealing with dental anxiety.

Dr. Christopher Baker at Dartmouth Dental (Wyse Road) is amazing. He coached me through some tremendous tooth problems caused by years of eating disordered habits / major fears of all things dentist relared without any judgement. He also went out of his way to ensure the treatment was affordable and necessary. Highly recommend!

So far one lady got back to me with some info. Her older kids molars came in without enamel. A dentist in Bedford (Dr. Molar, fitting name right. ) put some kind of sealant to prevent getting cavities. Since her kid was older no sedation was needed. My friend Tamaras daughter gets put out for her dental work.
Feeling gratitude for a great employer who allows me to make time for my daughter and for a dentist who can squeeze us in to help Lucy feel better....good day!
