I have an IKEA Mordegal ($300) queen foam mattress on an IKEA Lonset ($90) slatted bed base. The Lonset lifts the Mordegal above the ground by about 3 cm, allowing for ventilation and some springiness.

Why not stick the mattress on the floor as a temporary measure. Just lift it up or turn it sometimes to stop it getting mouldy. Personally, that and squatting pretty much wiped out my back and knee problems but I wouldn't want to promise it to anyone else
I am laying on this self inflating camping mat in the airport waiting on a flight right now and will sleep on it tonight when i get home. It provides better back support than most air mattresses and is better than a cheapo mattress. http://www.wildernessx.com/hiker-2 nds-2016.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwwqXMBRCDARIsAD-AQ2 hlkHzsifs8SB-DI-po4 vZpg_I3JEHFgvVe7XO4 oOBljuLMeHoIU6 kaAkE-EALw_wcB#92=1484&167=851

I don't know if you'd consider this but I just bought an Intex air mattress that is amazing! I initially just bought it for camping but after sleeping on it for fun I realized it's more comfortable than my bed! It's a lot better than air mattresses even a few years ago as it sits high off the floor and has a pump built into it. My favorite part is that it will pump air out as well as in so I can deflate it fully and quickly. It's like having a Murphy bed because I can set it up or put it away rather quickly. Finally it has a nice velour top. Just some food for thought.

I've been happy with this inexpensive Zinus memory foam mattress from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Master-Ultima-Comfort-Mattress/dp/B005G5SIRG I put on my futon frame that folds out to a platform bed, but you can also buy metal frames from this company. I've had it about 10 months so far and it's still comfortable. I went for this particular mattress because it offered the most firm foam for the money and I prefer a firmer mattress. The prices on these things bounce around all the time, so check camelcamelcamel before buying. I paid $130 for a queen, but the same mattress is now $210. This one is currently cheaper and offers more firm foam: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4N3QJ1
