Dr says The Richard 3 need to go dairy free. I have no idea where to even start. I see a nutritionist on Wednesday, but hoping someone can recommend some books,...

Ethan is severely allergic to dairy. He can't have even a little drop or he gets very very ill. Good site to go to is www.foodallergy.org, it will tell you what to look for. I read everything on the package list so usually you look for anything that contains whey, cheese, and butter products. I had to learn all this when Ethan was first born and was allergic to my milk, it almost killed him, he was in the nic unit for 7 days after he was born before they figured out what was causing it, he has been on soy milk ever since. Any questions let me know!

Check out a book by Dr. Sara Ballantyne called The Paleo Approach. It looks at various auto immune disease and how to structure your meals for those disorders. I have been off of gluten, dairy, most sugar, and caffeine for 6 months now. My body started healing right away. It is difficult at first, but once you get into the swing of it the kids will feel amazing. I also lost 25 lbs the first month of the change. J have found that I really love coconut milk as a dairy substitute. The So Delicious brand lives up to its name let me know if you ever want to talk or vent. It can be challenging at first, but it will be great for their bodies.
