We've been with Dr. Wierzbicki for years. He used to be Dr. McDonough's partner, and the couple of times we saw Dr. McDonough instead we were happy with him too. Now Dr. Wierzbicki is with Premier Family Physicians. He has a P.A. working with him, and I like him too. Dr. W takes care of me and my wife, also our children (he has kids in school with mine so he's up on children's issues) and my mother. He diagnosed a heart problem requiring surgery during a routine office visit with my father a few years ago, and last year handled both my parents with excellent care during my father's time on hospice. He even came to his wake. Great bedside manner and nice office staff.

I would recommend Dr. Antonia Mattei, at the Huntetdon Family Practice. I have been a patient there for 16 years and I have always been extremely satisfied.
Denise L. replied:
I love Dr. Bernard she is well respected by her peers and known at the hospital and pharmacies as knowing her stuff. She is very throw with all her testing and gets back to you in a timely manner. also Dr.donetz in that group is very good as well. If interested I can send you there phone number.
Cynthia A. replied:
Personally, I'd stay away from Dr. Manchen (on Main St) his staff isn't always nice and he does not follow-up on anything. Also, my husband's cholesterol was high and he says it is normal. I love Dr. Dorothy Pauch. She is part of Hunterdon Family Practice which is located in the Doctor's Office Building(attached to HMC).

I've had good experiences with Flemington Family Physicians. Me and my wife always see Dr. Jennifer O'Hara.
Fran C. replied:
I'm a little late, I know, but I'll confer with Melanie and Alexis. Dr. Antonia Mattei in Hunterdon Family Practice. She has a very sane, practical, balanced approach to medical care.
Brooke L. replied:
Dr. Ira Liebross on Church Street is wonderful. His wait times are a little excessive, but the reason for that is because he doesn't rush his patients and takes as much time as needed so he does run late a lot of the time. This can be avoided by early AM appointments. He's really fabulous.
Melanie M. replied:
I would recommend Dr. Antonia Mattei of Hunterdon Family Practice. She is great, office is well run and I usually don't have to wait more than a couple of minutes.
Kathie D. replied:
I just moved here too and I started going to Dr Lisa Mortin on rt 202. She was very nice and friendly. Plus me and my husband went for routine check ups and she even wanted us to come back in to discuss the results of the blood work before we even left that day. It shows that she cares and wanted us to talk about the results instead of just sending out a card in the mail when the results came back.

Quality care..Dr Lisa Morton.a great Dr and person.

I've been with Dr. McDonough for 20 years. I could not say enough about his abilities as a Dr., or his "bed side manner." I went there last week, and was called into the appointment before I could update my new insurance information. Not bad for a waiting period, eh? His practice (Family Physicians of Hunterdon) is at 2 Kings Court (next to the Post Office annex, near the Hampton Inn). I highly recommend him.
