Needing suggestions on a pediatrician/family doctor in Frederick, MD area that won't push the gardisal (or any other) vaccine. Go.
Terri C. replied:
I take Chloe to Dr. Beardsley in mt. Airy, and he didn't push at all when I passed on the flu shot for her.
Heather W. replied:
I love Dr. Lee at Frederick Primary Care and he's a Christian. I've said no to some and delayed others and it's never been a problem. Although, like Donna said, there always seems to be a wait for him. I have actually liked all the Drs I've seen at the practice.
Tanya B. replied:
I've seen Dr Lee for myself, he is very nice but I don't feel he is respectful of your time. He made me wait almost an hour in the waiting room and then another 45 IN the exam room, and I needed to be sent to the hospital ultimately. But he is nice.
Carissa B. replied:
We saw Dr. Ebert yesterday, and she pushed really hard for me to vaccinate J with it. I was very irritated, because she acted like I was a bad parent to put my vaccine beliefs ahead of my child's health.
Carissa B. replied:
I should add that we normally see Dr. Bromberg who has never harassed me about vaccines, and always taken my no for a no. But J wanted to see a female dr, so I made the appointment with dr. ebert. Maybe there are other female providers there who are less pushy.
Jennifer W. replied:
I've never seen her. We've been in a lot because of the girls' asthama and that vaccine has never been brought up. Let me find the names of the 2 female doctors we've seen recently. Madison really liked them. Dr. Hindi is my favorite though.
Jennifer W. replied:
Dr. Joan Lee is who Madison saw recently. She even gave me homeopathic alternatives to trreating Madison's thrush, when she had a severe allergic reaction to the medication given. The second one given wasn't working well either, that's when she gave me other alternative to try.
Victoria K. replied:
I take my children to John Hopkins here in Frederick to Dr. Convey. He is a close family friend. I brought up gardisal to him he supports it personally but respects that I don't want Olivia to have it either. Also I had a friend whose daughter had a brain seizure after having one. It's a potential side effect/risk. Not worth it.

Stephenie T. replied:
Lynn Alonso. Internal Medicine. And she is a concierge doctor. You pay a yearly fee (it can be paid quarterly, bi annually or all at once) and it covers 12 doctor visits, flu shots, blood draws, a yearly physical and probably some things I am forgetting. I have her personal cell number and she knows me well enough that I don't always have to go in. Sometimes we just work out a strategy over the phone.
Susan W. replied:
Parkview Group they have two locations. I see Linda Muehl but have seen other doctors when she wasn't available I am very happy there.
