I had a bad experience with Bella Vogue. They promised they had plus sizes, and they do, but their size 20 wouldn't fit over my hips to even try anything on. They then told me they would order some larger sizes for me to try on, but I never heard back. Natalie M at 127 th and Metcalf in Overland Park, however, got me into a size 16. They have a much larger selection of plus size gowns and bridesmaids dresses and were very helpful.
