I'm looking for a recommendation for a very experienced obstetrician. I want one with ties to TGH. I have a history of more high-risk pregnancies and need someone who...

Dr Amoroso's group and Dr. Jaeger's group only deliver at St Joes' s. I work with both groups and they are both excellent. Dr. Jaeger's group has an office at Tgh but does not deliver there. You don't have to deliver at TGH if you are high risk. St. Joes' s does over 7500 deliveries a year ( the most in this area) with actual physicians, not residents.

Partners in obgyn all the way! Dr. Jaeger delivered both of my kids in the last 3 years and I had two high risk pregnancies. All in the practice are wonderful!

I saw Amoroso, Suarez, saveedra, Sosna group (and at the time they only delivered at St. Joes so I don’t know if that changed) and was not happy. They lost blood work that could not be retaken, made me feel uncomfortable, made me get unnecessary testing for diabetes when I passed all my 1 hr tests, and were not supportive of natural child birth with no epidural. I was also given a stern talking to for not getting STD testing in my final trimester etc. At the midwife group - they actually answer their phones and treat you like an adult!! I was also not inundated with advertising and free samples of formula etc with the midwife group - who was very supportive of VBAC and Breast Feeding. TGH is the way to go!! St. Joe’s may be more beautiful… but if they never let you even stick a toe in that birthing tub what’s the point of it being there, really!

I used the Midwife group at TGH for successful VBAC with Doula, Stephanie Moore. They sent me to see a neonatologist because of my age and heart issues with my first baby - all was well, best of both worlds! Having experienced both OBGYN with my first and Midwife group for second, I prefer the Midwife group. (813) 258-3309 Women’s Health Care of FL 5 Tampa General Circle Suite 240 - they are in the Harborside Building which is attached to the parking garage if you park on the third floor, you can walk right over.

Should be Jaeger. The office can deliver at TGH or St Joseph hospital. Good luck

I have amazing OB drs and I am also HIGH-RISK! But my drs don't deliver at TGH...only at UCH (Florida Hospital) I've been seeing them for over 20 years and I am getting ready to deliver another baby (#4) in December! (7 more weeks) Insignia Care for Women 813-876-0914, Dr Von Thron & Dr Wilkerson have delivered my babies but I LOVE all the drs!!!!!

I had all my children except the last a St.Josephs womans. I had my daughter who is 17 months old at TGH. Worst experience of my life. I was sent there because I was 39 which pushed me into the high risk category. I had no issues with any of my other deliveries but 6 weeks after the birth of my daughter I hemorrhaged due to what is called retained placenta! They left the placenta inside after I gave birth! Amazingly enough when I got to tgh's emergency room the same 3 rd year resident who delivered my baby was on call and she tried to tell me that I may have just started my period. I was covered in blood and the sheets they wrapped around be were covered, not to mention the floor and chair at cracker barrel( where my husband and I and our five kids were having lunch when it all happened). I say all this to say TGH is a great hospital for other things from what I hear but for delivery, st. Josephs all the way! Dr. Suerez and the all the in her office are great. They are located in Brandon.
