My favourite gyros nowadays is at Elia in the Rechtstraat. They have the 'spinning tower of meat' though it's not lamb unfortunately....

Da Geppetto, the "green" italian restaurant in Markt has an excellent italian menu, and excellent price-quality rapport smile emoticon it has a very cosy and familiar atmosphere, and big spaces if your family is large

Restaurant Efes in Aachen (Germany), has original Turkish doner. You have to travel half an hour by car, but it's worth it!:)
