No kdh doctors I know of deal with sle. I also have it and RA, today I'm traveling to Indy to a rheumatologist. I can let you know how it goes if you like. Dr Ellis at kdh is my primary doctor with consultations from Dr alcorn. My lupus is severe, I get hospitalized often. Good luck, I truly know your pain and doctors not knowing how to treat lupus. Prednisone and plaquenil is about it

Madison sucks depending on your needs. Since you have SLE I am sure you need pain medication among others. My mother had this as well. I use Common Wealth Pain Associates in New Albany as my pain specialist. They are awesome. They will refer you to any additional doctors you may need such as a rheumatologist (I imagine you already have one since you have an auto immune disease). They will also work with all your doctors to take care of as many of the medicines for you so you don’t have to run a rat race to get your medication.

Dr. Vorhies is amazing! He is in Madison at KDH. Although I don't particularly care for the hospital, I trust him. I'm in remission from stage IV cancer and he has been wonderful. He is thorough and cares about his patients. Highly recommend him.
