Dr. Ross Perryville-Clinton Vet. Love him and the office staff!!
Erin S. replied:
Laurie you can get a certificate from https://www.friendsofanimals.org and you can check which vets accept it. Spring Mills accepts it and is excellent with low costs.
Erin S. replied:
I loved perryville vet but found them very expensive with stray neuters. I don't know if they have changed prices but they wanted $250 for a male cat when spring mills wanted $70. This was a few years ago with Dr Phil but it turned me off
Laurie S. replied:
Thx, Erin Logue Snyder. I called Spring Mills who quoted me a good rate. They just asked for the Shelter Code number from where I got them. But, the org leader I got my kittens from is not returning my emails or calls. She doesn't seem to have a physical shelter; she just rescues cats & tries to find them homes. I just want to get these two fixed before they start mating. Any suggestions welcomed.
Hi all. I'd like to find a local veterinarian (for cats), reasonable but also fantastic, and evening or weekend hours would be super welcome but not required. Thanks...

Durham Valley Vets in Ottsville are good for routine stuff. Quakertown Veterinary Hospital has 24/7 service for emergency and more involved procedures. We had a house fire last year and our cat suffered severe smoke inhalation; we didn't think he'd survive, but Q'town pulled him through.
Gary F. replied:
Yes, Durham Valley Vets.....Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital, State Rd. in Pleasant Valley are my current second choice.
Sue G. replied:
I'm a huge fan of Quakertown Animal Hospital! Dr. Consigli is the best doctor. He goes above and beyond to care for your 4 legged friends - yes they are a little pricey, but Dr. Consigli is the best
Marian P. replied:
For an emergency, there is also Valley Central on Fullerton Ave. In Whitehall. Probably a out the same distance as Quakertown. We have used both. For routine stuff we use Durham Valley.
Mary H. replied:
Without question, Spring Mills Veterinary Hospital in Holland,NJ.
Tracy L. replied:
I love Alpha Veterinary. Its a 20 minute drive but they're awesome and so affordable. I've had dogs and cats both go there.
Beth B. replied:
Alpha is good, and affordable. (They re-assigned my Button sex) Valley Central is expensive, but very good for specialty stuff. Qtown is easier to drive to (I think) than Allentown, if you need to choose. Durham Valley is good for basic care and maintenance.
Liz T. replied:
We switched from Durham Valley to Alpha Vet and have been MUCH happier. Although we have a dog...
Pam L. replied:
Dr.Suzanne Smith of Spring Mills Veterinary, 908-995-4959. She is only 10 minutes over the bridge.
Kamila C. replied:
Dr Smith of spring mills veterinary is WONDERFUL. and open on weekends and for emergencies.
Kailyn M. replied:
I use Quakertown vet clinic. My dog was rushed there this morning actually and they were able to send her home within 2 hours after receiving some staples and wound cleaning. And I highly recommend Dr. Consigli. He's the nicest vet I've ever encountered.
Vanessa W. replied:
We use M.O.M.S Vet Clinic. The clinic is in Pipersville, but they have a mobile van and do house calls. It was actually cheaper to have them come to the house when we had 4 dogs. Now that we have 1, we drive over to the clinic. We have been with them for 10+ years and Dr. Detweiler is great. She doesn't overcharge fro unneccessary treatments. She lays out your options and then you decide. We have used Quakertown Vet for emergencies and they have been great.
Kim W. replied:
DUrham Valley for routine but that is all I would use them for. They are not around during off hours at all. Quakertown is very good. I heard Alpha Vets are real good for cats but never used them myself
Anybody know of a vet or service that would make a house call for an elderly cats rabies shot? So tramatic for him to go in the car.
Ron R. replied:
You can try DR Ross at perryville animal hospital.
Vicki H. replied:
