I used Standard Water Control for drain tile in my basement. Before the drain tile, my basement leaked every single time there was any rain at all (there was literally water coming up like a drinking fountain). It has never leaked since, and that was 3 years ago. They were fast, clean, professional, and effective. http://standardwater.com/

I got a home improvement loan through the Victory Neighborhood Association with the help of GMHC and I was given a list of contractors by GMHC that were approved to do work under the loan program. I think the money came from the city of Minneapolis and my loan is at 1% interest. I got bids from five of them and the one that gave the lowest bid was selected. You might have to select from a limited list of contractors as I did. Maybe it differs depending on the neighborhood association and the loan type. Also check to see if you are eligible for any Hennepin County lead abatement grants; I was eligible for a $10,000 grant that I didn't have to repay that covered the replacement of the remaining original windows in my house, my bathtub, and the painting & repair of the walls in my home. My home got water in the basement until I got gutters put on and landscaping done with dirt graded away from the house done, along with plastic liner under wood chips all around the house. I think that was covered by the lead abatement grant as well. My basement has been bone dry all summer long so far! I have a really steep roof.

Egress Window Guy did our egress window and we are very pleased with it... they were here and gone in four hours that includes cutting a brand new hole. Reasonable, easy to deal with and very good at it. It's their specialty so they really know how to do it right.

Just caught this thread I used a product called Bone Dry on Lindsay's basement floor besides the Dry lok on the walls. She also had an open crack that required expansion concrete to seal. I am also the one who recommended the Bentonite to Deb's client around the same time that I did Lindsay's. It has been tested with the rains this year and has passed the test. She did have to have them come back with a bit of weeping in one area and they followed up and injected more as stated in there warranty. Note the even injected through the side walk and patched it on one side of the house.
