UA Gemini are the most comfortable shoe I've ever had. Hugs the heel to avoid slipping. Light isn't the word Like a slipper but very supportive. $$$$ but worth it.

I'm guessing you already looked on the discount and closeout shops to see if you could find the Newtons on sale then? I ended up finding a pair of the kind I like on sale for about $75 once. Altra also has a pair of lightweight shoes called The One, zero drop but that still may be too much cushioning for you. They should be sorted by low-to-high price, as that's how I usually shop.

Is that 7.4 oz for male or female shoe? edit: just googled it. It's men's.
