Palm Springs Hotel Any recommendations for an inexpensive mcm rental? Open to an airbnb type place or a m/hotel. Would be for a trip in 2019.

In a Venn Diagram situation, Inexpensive and Palm Springs are two circles with no overlap.
Nilsneo replied:
I don't know what you consider inexpensive, but updated MCM can be found at [ACE hotel](https://www.acehotel.com/palmsprings/), [the Monkey Tree](https://www.themonkeytreehotel.com/) and old-school MCM can be found almost anywhere else, like [The Hideaway](http://thehideawayps.com/). If it's just a cool building you want, try [Caliente Tropics Resort](https://www.calientetropics.com/), [the Desert Star](https://www.desertstarpalmsprings.com/), [Mojave resort](https://www.resortmojave.com/), and very retro [Orbit inn](https://orbitin.com/)

I think 90% of the AirBNB listings for Palm Springs are MCM. No idea what you consider affordable, though.
Does anyone have any suggestions on hotels in Palm Springs that are still true to their MCM heritage?
Also what do you recommend doing/ going to see while there?

Our friends stayed here when we all went to mid century week in Feb. Of 2015. Three guys stayed at the Orbit Inn. Two guys stayed at The Revierra. Us two lesbos stayed at the Best Western. Haha. We got to go to each pool and they were very cool. Only thing is you could get Cocktails from a bar at the Reviera. Also lots of kids at the Revierra, none at The Orbit.

The Parker is cool. Colony Palms is old Palm Springs. Viceroy is now called the Avalon.

Can anyone recommend cheap, but not disgusting hotels in Palm Springs? I'm trying to plan a wedding here, and need some suggestions. If you've stayed at a good hotel...

Ace Hotel is supposed to be cool. My friend books bands there. Not sure about price.

Laura... I have already investigated. I found a place called Travelodge Inn at Joshua Tree State Park. That's where you're getting married, right? Anyway, it's like 72$/nite and it has high ratings and looks pretty nice. That's where I was thinking of going as long as I am write about it being the right locale.

We've been to Palm Springs quite a few times. That's where Gabby went every Thanksgiving for the National Field Hockey Tournament. We prob won't stay much longer than the weekend. I will check out your website.
Anyone have a reservation to the hotel they need to have taken off their hands? Alternatively if you want to split a room with a bunch of people let me know :)
Hey!
I'm looking for a ride from LA and back! (31.12. and 04.01.)
And I'm also looking for a hotel spot, I'm fine with sleeping on the floor, for Thursday trough Monday.
