Ullswater every time for us! Ullswater sailing school are lovely and boat hire is much more reasonable - double handler or family sized boat 3 hrs for £60. Think you have to show proof of RYA 2 or more http://www.ullswatersailingschool.org/Default.aspx?tabid=400
