Hi,
Thinking of moving to Wellfleet. I would love to hear from people who live there about ease of getting to grocery stores, library, cafes, etc. Does the local bus...

The Flex bus goes from Harwich to Ptown, with a stop in Wellfleet and Orleans. There's a nice mom & pop grocery in Wellfleet center. Stop & Shop is in both Orleans & Ptown. http://www.capecodtransit.org/flex-route.htm

Wellfleet is a great town, lots going on at the library and Preservation Hall. Great pizza place and my friends and I playing music for the Wednesday night Lobster Roll Dinners at the Mason 's Lodge in the summertime. Then there's porchfest in August, there's PJ's, The Box Lunch, and French bakery.....plus beautiful beaches and nice people. Nice art galleries as well.:-)

Wellfleet is a lovely town. Try contacting the Council on Aging; I believe they offer rides into Orleans for shopping and errands. We have an award-winning library, and I have Comcast Internet service. Comcast internet sometimes mysteriously disconnects for short periods of time. If you don't have a car, it would be best to live within walking distance to the village so you could walk to Wellfleet Marketplace. The Wagner is open year round, but most restaurants and stores close in the off season. There is bus service into Boston, both Plymouth and Brockton and a van that drives people roundtrip to Boston hospitals --not sure who operates it. Best of luck to you.
