Nursery / Plant Store Recommendation? So I'm never going to Lowes or Home Depot again for anything, but especially plant stuff with all the zero help they were.

Portland Avenue Nursery has been helpful to me in the past. I would also second Watson's in Puyallup and Gardensphere in Proctor.

Stay away from jungle fever. Their plants all look like shit and it’s a real mess in there.

Another vote for Gardensphere. Very, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and fairly wide selection, imo.

Windmill Gardens in Summer. McLendon has good plants seasonally.

Watsons in Puyallup is really nice. There's also a WSU master gardener program in Thurston County that does plant sales. And the bonsai museum in federal way (also rhododendron garden) does sales. Just some ideas if you're a big plants person looking for deals.

GardenSphere or The Fernseed. GardenSphere is less pricey. There's also a new shop on 6 th Ave called Jade & Co but I haven't been there yet.

Woodbrook Nursery in Gig Harbor is a nice PNW native plant nursery with good selection and knowledgeable staff. http://www.woodbrooknativeplantnursery.com/

Watson's in Puyallup is worth the drive

Why pay retail when you can buy from the same place these shops do? Washington Floral Service is open to the public and is right in the middle of town.

Fernseed, Jade & Co, Watsons, Gardensphere are all amazing and worth your time. But then sometimes I make great and super budget-friendly plants at Grocery Outlet; it’s like a green treasure hunt!

I would try gardensphere or Watson’s in Puyallup. Fernseed is nice too, but pricey. If you want outdoor plants gardensphere and Watson’s both have outdoor sections.

Portland Ave is great! Watsons is nice too but I find their prices are a bit higher

I’ve gotten good advice/recommendations at a place called Walrath’s. I think they are primarily outdoor plants and landscaping stuff (pavers, gravel, etc) but they had quite a few nice houseplants when I went there last. I’ve only been to the Gig Harbor location, but I know there’s one in Tacoma as well.

Garden sphere is wonderful!! They are more of experts for outdoor gardens so they would be great for your porch. For indoor help, I’d recommend jade & co. Wonderful, down to earth, & helpful.
