For animal lovers using homeopathy! Does anyone know a homeopathic vet in Bedfordshire? Google search, my closest is London, too far with a poorly animal x
Sara K. replied:
You might find they'll Skype. Homeopathic vets are very thin on the ground. There are homeopaths who will prescribe but it must be done alongside your regular vet.

Tina Davey in Royston is a holistic vet - might be worth a call? http://www.melbournvets.co.uk/#home

Tom Farrington (vettom@eircom.net) works via Skype. He is excellent.
Sawston's 'Village Vet' is closing. Can anybody recommend a non-corporate vet practise in the area?
Sarah R. replied:
We use David Urwin in Linton (because we used to live there) and I have always been very happy with their care. Depends if that is too far for you to travel though.

Sarah R. replied:
Interesting- I've never been pressured into buying worming tablets at David Urwin- they ask if I need any and I say no thank you and that's that! My live wire and slightly reckless dog has a long patient record there and they have always been brilliant. The one on Cherry Hinton Road is good too I believe (I don't have personal knowledge but my grandparents used them for decades- John Grieve is the main partner I think).
Sarah R. replied:
I don't suppose any vet can be perfect for everyone- I think we are proving that with this conversation! I have heard of other bad experiences with Village Vets prior to this though, and I wouldn't go there personally.
Ann B. replied:
Oh dear! Thanks for the info, Chris. We shall have to opt for Whittlesford cos Linton is too far away.
Live in Royston, North Hertforshire, & am wondering if anyone could recommend a vet for hip & elbow ex rays. Have a Golden & a friends Lab that need doing, & was hoping...
