It's almost always the drum. They crack and as they rotate the gap expands then closes. EVERY Samsung dryer will do it. Every. Single. One. Mine did it. You can get a new drum and I believe they even make fancier aftermarket/tougher ones too. As far as a repair place I dunno. I'd call around to shops and get a quote over the phone. They'll know exactly what it is and how much they'll charge. I bet they do a dozen a week.

My father in law owns Stewish Automotive on 3300 S. 2900 E. He's very honest, doesn't charge a ton of money or tell you that other things need to be fixed. He does only the job at hand with a free diagnostic. His name is Mark Stewart. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.
