Plumber recommendations Does anyone have a plumber they recommend in the Pgh area? I live in Lawrenceville, moved here a couple years ago and haven’t needed one yet....

Sounds like the p trap. Very easy fix. A 2 on a 1-10 scale where 1 is changing a light switch cover and 10 is something hard. However I do recommend Matt mertz

Something that small should be within the capabilities of a handyman, and /u/pghparagliding is the best one in the city.

[McVay Plumbing](https://www.mcvayplumbing.com/) has done good work for me. The first time I called them, they replaced a laundry sink in my basement (including busting up and hauling out the old, heavy-ass concrete one), and the second, they ran a new water line into my kitchen for the ice maker on my new fridge.

Brickhaas plumbing. They are pretty reasonable and definitely reliable. Our p trap finally gave out because it was corroded and the pipe going into the wall was corroded too and just fell apart when we tried to take the trap off. We had a different company come out and tell us they weren't going to fix our sink because they are only doing excavations right now (so why the fuck did you come to my house?!) and told us it needed repiped in the wall. We had already waited all weekend without a kitchen sink and I was pissed. Brickhaas came out and fixed it same day. They were able to cut the pipe that went into the wall and fit a new pipe without ripping my wall apart. We also had them replace our main shutoff valve that was leaking and install a new faucet in our kitchen.

I really like Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing in Wexford.

David Stahl of Stahl Plumbing. He’s the “Better Call Stahl” guy, not to be confused with another Stahl plumbing in the area.

Veteran’s Plumbing. They hire vets and offer discounts to vets. Good work.
