Can anyone recommend a good place for private speech therapy? My son didn't qualify for early intervention but we still feel his speech is behind.

Tom Steines- it's only free through school if the child is 3-21 ys old & they qualify through evaluations. Casey Elizabeth mentioned early intervention, which is for children under 3. My friend took her daughter to a woman in riverdale or bloomingdale. I'll look up her name... (She even takes some insurance!)

I am looking for a speech therapist for my daughter who has difficulties with the letter R. If anyone can recommend a therapist it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Lorraine N. replied:
Mary Coyle Carroll ..They say the "R" letter is the hardest letter to correct and if it is not correct by the age of 6 it becomes extremely difficult to correct . Tell Erin to keep an eye on her daughter and make sure the school therapist is working because then she will be in my boat..several years after 6 yrs old trying to correct her now!
