Hi Michelle Jones! I'm happy to help with any questions you have. I'm a local doula (have been for over 70 births and 7 years) and natural childbirth educator (over 10 years). The midwives at Rush Copley are pretty good. If you want a water birth, you have to go with the midwives, since OBs don't assist with water births. http://www.rushcopley.com/rcmg/services/midwifery/
Whoever you go with will most likely insist on continuous fetal monitoring but there are monitoring units that can be used in the water so shower would be an option for hydro therapy. Dr. Carroll at CDH, and Dr. Reirmaier at Sherman are both very vbac friendly and supportive
