This place is fairly casual and reasonably priced. Scottish twist to most dishes. http://www.thecellardooredinburgh.com

Aizle Edinburgh is the place to go if you can get a table. Saiko Kitchen is also fantastic:-)

The Dogs OR Scran and Scally(For Lunch) Locanda De Gusti (Unlikely to get a table) The Kitchin (If you're splurging, and you'll get in mid-week) Petite Paris (Some would say touristy, but is actually excellent and well priced, also in the centre of Grassmarket) The Honours Imperial Palace (Take a cab, ask for Chinese menu, be blown away by crispy pork and home made noodles) The Old Bell Inn - Hidden in Southside, have the fishcakes. Any more, hit me up.
