If you like ribs and steak, check out [Modes Bum Steer](https://www.modesbumsteer.com/). It's a throwback bar/restaurant with a heavy 1970 s vibe.

Almost forgot, you definitely have to go to the former state psychiatric hospital. It's now a mall but retains a bit of a creepy vibe. I think they give tours. http://www.thevillagetc.com/tours/

The top of Park Place Hotel has a small cocktail lounge, head there at sunset for a romantic start to the evening. End your night with a nightcap at Low Bar (below 7 Monks) to seal the deal.

Wineries: tour old mission. The drive is great. There are lots of wineries to hit up on your way out. You can also explore the lighthouse at the end. 2 lads has an amazing tasting room. I also love Jolly Pumpkin for a bite to eat. If you are really doing the wine tour there is another 20-something wineries out in Leelanau. The big spring releases will be hitting in about a month. Right now most of the wineries are out of just about everything.

There are tons of services where you hire a van, and they take you on a wine tour. Personal fave is 45 north. They make a cab franc to die for
