No matter where you go, there is always a long wait at a doctors office. Its the reality of having free health care, and people going in for little stuff such as colds and sniffles. If you want to have little to no wait time for an appointment, go at the beginning of the day (eg 8-9 am) before the doctors get behind on their appointments. I know it sucks to have to come to campus early in the morning for a doctors appointment, but that's probably the best solution. If you're set on going somewhere else, you could try the walk in clinic beside Sweet Dreams in the University plaza

If you have a car or don't mind a forty minute bus ride from the University, the Fairway Clinic is great. I'll go there over my family doctor as the clinic is more reliable. They're generally quick to see you and the doctors know what they're doing. Early mornings will have almost no wait time. Afternoons are still usually under half an hour.

Walk-in for health services. I haven't had problems there. Appointments are pretty long wait times, but if you don't care which doctor you see it should be faster. Usually I walk in and get service in less than 1/2 hour, appointments are straight walk in. Note this information is from 2 years ago. Don't go to the clinic in the University plaza - it's misdiagnosed me several times and sent me to the ER for no reason. UW Health Services is actually a quality clinic.

I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes to see a nurse without an appointment at health services. If they're not too busy they'll even let you see a doctor without an appointment (once you've seen a nurse). I've been to health services many many times now and I've always had nothing but great experiences with the doctors and other staff. The doctors there are so much better than any family doctors I've had in the past. I don't think you'll find anything better in the area.
