Had the same thing in 2011. Dr. Loel Payne w/ Tidewater Ortho did my (outpatient arthroscopic) surgery. He was great through the whole process. You can see his info by clicking the link below & scrolling down to his name. (Btw, I've also seen Dr. McCarthy, the other knee specialist in that practice, and didn't like his "bedside manner," so to speak, nearly as well. Just my personal opinion. When Jake broke his collarbone and Chloe broke her wrist, we saw Dr. Lambert with Virginia Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in New Town. He was great.

I work with a ton of patients after ortho surgeries. I think Dr Boyd Haynes in NN does awesome work and never see any post op problems. Patients even come up from Florida to have joint replacements from him. I only deal with a few here in Williamsburg though. I would ask Kristin her opinion if you want to stay williamsburg. She would definitely know or should.

Okay, I agree Kristin would know, not sure I want to go to Newport News and would really be happy with one that sees kids. Based on reviews seems like Dr. Lambert is good and sees kids thanks for your help

No clue about outside the military but we had a good experience with Dr Henning at Portsmouth when Zach broke his finger. Not sure if she works outside Portsmouth but I can find out. (Some do a few times per month to stay active in other parts of the same field.)
