Karen A. answered: I just had new brake discs and pads on the front of my car in June and new discs and pads on the back two weeks ago and the hand brake adjusted. It failed the MOT on the handbrake and advisory info said my braking system only just met the minimum. If that is true then the garage that fitted all the brakes and fixed the handbrake must have done a pretty rubbish job.It doesn't seem possible that the brakes are not up to standard when they are brand new. Needless to say I am not going to use them again which is why I am looking for a mechanic that comes well recommended by customers. Thanks everyone for your help
