Physical Therapist referrals in Surprise, AZ from Dec 19, 2014
Kathleen B. asked:
Thanks for the add. I have been dealing with a foot injury since July. Started out with a stress fracture of the right foot (2nd met.) and has progressed to nerve issues in 3 toes in that foot. After they dr prescribed custom orthotics, and I wore them about 3 weeks, my 'good foot' has developed plantar fasciitis and I don't know what hurts worse at times... The PF or the burning toes in the other foot. I feel like I need a wheelchair at times. Very difficult with a two story house, and 8 yr old twins and two dogs (and husband) to take care of daily... I've been trying rolling the frozen water bottle under the heel and I have a little rolling pin to 'massage' the inside of my leg. I also massage it with 'real time' ointment the physical therapist recommended, and it may feel better one day, then bam right back to full blown pain again the next, like today... Looking for any advise anyone wants to give. The daily pain for 5 months now is getting depressing.
Kathleen B. answered:
Oh, I've also been doing the calf stretches daily too
Ronnie C. answered:
Have you got orthodicts for both feet?
Kathleen B. answered:
Good luck with the surgery. I'm interested to hear how you feel.
Natalie J. answered:
I watched my father go from sitting all the time to using a walker to having to be in a wheelchair. Once he was in the wheelchair his brain forgot how to walk and the physical therapists said he was too old to relearn it's try to stay out of a wheelchair if possible! It sure scared me.
Tina P. answered:
will keep you posted Kathleen Kelly Bagley
Kathleen B. answered:
Yeah, dr had me buy custom ones (for almost $400!) and after wearing them for about 3 weeks, thats when the PF Started kicking in on the 'good' foot.
Ronnie C. answered:
Wow that's not good .did you go back to him
DiDi M. answered:
I agree on the wheelchair, sometimes it would be so much better!
Deneen J. answered:
My foot flared up with custom orthotics too. I got them from a chiropractor during the summer for my knee, hip and back... to put my body "in alignment". Should have left em alone....
Kathleen B. answered:
I have seen the foot dr every 2-3 weeks since July. He had me also go to PT twice a week for about 3 months. I just saw a new for dr last week and they are more concerned with the other foot with the stress fracture and nerve issues they have skipped right over the PF With this other foot. At times this hurts just as bad, just in a different way it's aweful going from being very active to being in misery almost every night. It's nice to find a group of people who understand.
Jenny B. answered:
