Jean R. asked:
Hi folks can anyone help please?
A friend is going on holiday on 5th March to the 22nd March and has two Golden Retriever bitches. Lovely girls and good tempraments. Kennel arrangements have fallen through and my friend wondered if I knew of anyone who did dog sitting in their own home.
She lives in the Whitecraigs area of Glasgow but is able to travel a reasonable distance round this area to get suitable and good accommodation. Any recommendations you may have please let me know.
Peggy M. answered:
Jean, not sure of the distance involved but Isobel Cuthill has boarding kennels. She's in Carluke.
Peggy M. answered:
Have re-read it and see it is dog sitting in a home situation that's required.
Rebecca G. answered:
We use waggy tails in Falkirk. Not sure if she'd take 2 but worth a try. Daisy loves her holidays there! It's Catherine Marshall 's place.
Donna C. answered:
Thank you Lin Mitchell for the recommendation. Jean Ramsay we do currently have availability for those dates although I appreciate we are quite far away. You would be very welcome to come for a viewing beforehand and there are additional pictures on our Facebook page (Happy Dog Holidays Ltd) best wishes Donna

Jean Ramsay I can highly recommend active paws as above by Valerie Goldie . Travis has been there and the lady has retrievers of her own so knows the breed.

Marie G. answered:
If you can't get a dog sitter Id Definately recommend isobels kennels
Lin M. answered:
I can highly recommend Happy Dog Holidays - they are based near St Andrews - which is perhaps a little far, but well worth the journey, Luxury Dog Hotel - I mean luxury - and a fabulous girl Donna Clark, who will look after them as if they were her ow n. underfloor heating and double glazed rooms with 4 walks a day - mine love it. Donna is a very experienced 'dog' person. It's the closest to having them looked after in your own home i can find. Well worth a look.
Jeremy B. answered:

Valerie G. answered:

I've 2 that I would definitely recommend. Fred loves both of them equally!! Try Pet Adventures in Clarkston (Janice Schindler) or The Wag Lady in Eaglesham (Sheena Mason). They've both helped us with Fred since he was a tiny pup and he loves them!
Mary N. answered:
Isobel Cuthill who is a Golden breeder near Carluke has fantastic kennels, she might be able to help and its not too far away. PM me for details
Cathy M. answered:
Jean Ramsay what about Sheenagh Hay shes 15 mins drive from her.
