Saveria M. answered: It's so inspiring to see that you're working in this field while also being deaf. My sister is also deaf. She is still young but I want her to follow her dreams and to do what ever job she wishes and not have her "disability" hold her back.

CyEra T. answered: @cheyanne, u fine. It's true hearing impaired is pretty offensive term in general for medical term they have to use that. So either deaf, hoh or not.:) I love to do what I do cause many people think deaf ppl cant do anything and that even make it harder for deaf ppl to get a job. So starting here we have to show it

Tasnim C. answered: I know of another hard of hearing UK make-up artist like myself, Kellie Moody. She's been a make-up artist for over 10 years and is doing well in her field.

CyEra T. answered: Thank you. Please do encourage your sister to follow her dreams

Jenni L. answered: So inspiring! Love this post. Never let anything stand in the way of your dreams. Our differences make us beautiful. Sign language is good for all of us to learn. It's great to teach to your baby- they can sign before they talk. It's akin to learning a second language.

Tasnim C. answered: Off-topic re make-up but my kids learnt Makaton baby sign language and I genuinely think that their verbal communication now is better for it.
Facebook reviewer avatar
Thomas M. answered: Oh so inspiring! Do you ever have any difficulty communicating with clients and if so, how do you go about that? I hope that's not offensive just super interested. xx

Lauri S. answered: I did makeup applications on a group of women from Costa Rica. They didn't speak English and I didn't speak Spanish, which was really difficult, but we eventually got it right. I can't imagine having those communication barriers all the time! Props to you!
