Heidi E. asked: Hello 1990 classmates, I love to see all the enthusiasm regarding our 25th reunion...it's going to be a blast!!! I need to book the entertainment soon, as June dates need to be confirmed quickly. I want to take a quick poll in order to book the majority interest. I planned on hiring a DJ, but someone mentioned that no one will dance because they'll want to talk. It's a good point, so before I book a DJ (or band, depending on cost), I want to get your thoughts. Do you want music? Please let me know!

Maureen H. answered: What have we done in the past? I can't even remember!

Amy F. answered: We had a nice low key musician playing at a party recently. Matt Chase. He's Mama Steph's son actually. It was nice music for chatting, but he could get a little more upbeat if you wanted him to. Just a thought. He has a website with music samples if you want to check him out. Maybe he's too low key. Not sure how danceable his music gets.

Mike E. answered: No DJ.

Heidi E. answered: Then what do you suggest Egan?

Beth T. answered: Egan is going to make a mix tape to play in the Boom Box.

Jim S. answered: I think music is a good idea, but keeping it low key (kind of like just in the background, so to speak). It can somewhat fill whatever silence is in the room and certainly can set the whole tone of the evening. Just my two cents ;)

Jim S. answered: Just set up an iPod with a good playlist on a decent iPod dock

Amy F. answered: Here's some Matt Chase in case you hadn't Googled yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky0Nv7FBGBU

Amy F. answered: Well if April likes it, then maybe we have a winner!:)

Heidi E. answered: Hey Maureen! We didn't have anything at the 20 th, but that's because I knew they were having a band right next to us at the outdoor bar.:) This time it will be indoors with a small outdoor area. I'm thinking we will need something??

April T. answered: Ha. I do like the idea of that

Karen B. answered: I like him too!

Amy F. answered: Okay, so what about the possibility of this: low-key until 10 pm and then a dance-able band or DJ comes on? I think by then people will want to dance. Unless Matt Chase says he can become dance-able at that time?...I think people might agree and chip in for this? (I don't even dance, Idk...was just chatting with "The Mayor" Michael McDonough about this.)

Michael M. answered: Mayor Goldie Wilson?

Amy F. answered: I have no idea what you're even quoting. Should I?

Heather E. answered: Is there an area where people can go if they want to talk? Like an outside area? If so, people can go there to talk, its fun to have some sort of music.

Carleyann R. answered: I agree with Heather Whippen El-Zein. Give them booze they will dance

April T. answered: I vote no DJ. I have found in the past and other reunions (my husbands) that people tend to stay for a bit in the room then wonder off the the main bar or outside etc. Maybe see if Haddads is having entertainment that night on their own. Just my 2 cents.

Lori C. answered: DJ with 80's and 90's music:)
Facebook reviewer avatar
Heidi E. answered: Okay, this is enough feedback. I say DJ!!! Sorry April...LOL!
Facebook reviewer avatar
Tracey P. answered: U need music to break up the night and to add more excite ment no videos though lol

Cheryl M. answered: Any chance to drag hubby onto the dance floor is good!
