Melissa B. asked: Recommendations for a good flooring company? Our basement flooded back in June and we had to rip out all the carpet and laminate in the family room and summer kitchen. We would like to have plank vinyl installed throughout the basement and kitchen, including an adjacent laundry/bathroom. I will not use Luna or Next Day Floors. I'm also looking for estimates on installation alone, if we were to buy the flooring ourselves. Unsure of total square footage; I guess it's hard to give an estimate when you don't know that.

Rhiannon H. answered: Call Mike Wyatt at 443-876-7074. Great prices. Even better service. He did carpet for me back in April. And I plan to use him again in September for another project. He comes out and does the free estimate himself. You won't regret it.

Melissa B. answered: No cape cod, we're in a brick duplex. I need this floor done ASAP. We could also buy the floor ourselves and pay someone to install. We already know exactly what we want, just need it installed.

Melissa B. answered: We were also going to cut out the bottom 3 ft of our drywall and put up wainscoting but I know that we can do ourselves. And I guess we'll need base moulding.
