Hi, Blue & Evil are a blues rock band from Southend-on-sea, looking for any suggestions or recommendations on good venues to play at in the South East / Essex area. There's a sample track below of the kind of music we play.

I hate to rain on anyone's party, but the responses you are likely to get are "do what every other band has to do...find them yourself" . Gigs are hard to find, nobody is going to lead you gently by the hand. That's just my view.

Fair comment, I thought it might be worth asking!:) That's why I was asking for suggestions of venues that might be worth approaching. As you say, the hard work is then getting the gigs!

You could try open mic nights . I know Petra Viva got a paid gig from one.
