Eric H. asked: Let me get the core of my problem: I have two large apple trees in need of expert pruning. I contacted a master gardener, but she does not work at heights. Rather than call a tree-cutting service, I am hoping for someone with fruit tree experience. Any suggestions, dear friends?

Christi B. answered: Following. I have 4 apple and 2 pear trees that are 30 years old and haven't been pruned in at least 15-20 years. I'd love to clean them up.

Dar N. answered: We use Tim Davis aka The Tree Surgeon for pruning and think he is great.

Christy N. answered: I prune fruit trees for a living but have taken the year off to chase a toddler. Tim Davis is great. If I was going to hire someone to prune my fruit trees I would call Leif Swanson at 599-1746 (i have his number memorized bc I trust him that much). Leif loves fruit trees and he will prune them properly, most tree guys will happily butcher fruit trees, though most do not understand how they grow.
