Can anyone advise me of logistics for tomorrow? (I've never been to Manchester before). I'll arrive at Man Pic station and Google maps suggests a 15min walk. Is there any public transport to the venue or is it too close by for a taxi?!

You could get a taxi but it is only a 15 minute walk. If you head from picadilly towards Victoria station (there will be signs) or if you ask at the information stand in the station for a map and directions to the northern quarter.
