Plumber referrals in Kenmore, WA from Mar 14, 2016
Greg B. asked:
Hi folks,
I live up a private driveway off of 61st ave NE which is on a hill side. I've found out I have a water main leak under my driveway and Im a bit lost as to who to call. I will need to find someone to tear up my driveway and then someone to repair the leak.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Erin P. answered:
American Leak Detection can come tell you exactly where the leak is. They were recommended by both companies I called to get bids to repair our water main. We use The Art of Plumbing for the repair. They are a Kenmore company and were great.
Greg B. answered:
Great thanks for the suggestion Erin, I will contact them. Would they be able to aid in the work to tear up the driveway to get it?
Paul K. answered:
Stack plumbing has always been fair and available
Brian D. answered:
There was a gentleman that posted about his company here and I've saved their website as I'll be needing some driveway repair work done. They may be able to help on both the water and driveway issue: http://pcellc.org/index.html

Cory Stringer Jr.
Eugene P. answered:
Down right concrete. Great work and quick. Based out off Kenmore you can look them up online.
Jeff R. answered:
Try to find somebody who does trench-less replacement. I had that work done about 3 years ago.
Jean H. answered:
Greg my advice. We've had no less that 8 of these repairs over the years. If you can get thru the driveway yourself and dig down the 18-24 inches and expose the pipe leak you will save yourself alot of money.
Jean H. answered:
We too were on a private road and the city came thru and repaired the street and lines so we've had no further issues since.
Bill S. answered:
It's probably worth a call to your insurance company to see if maybe they will cover some of this. Homeowner's insurance covers fence damage on property, so why not this?
Erin P. answered:
We didn't have to tear ours up. I am guessing they may have a suggestion if they don't actually do the work.
Jenna H. answered:
Have you called NUD to see who they recommend too? Catherine Wilson, do you know who did your waterline work?
Greg B. answered:
I did and they can't recommend anyone since they are a public service company.
Katy H. answered:
We are right by you and had the same problem last May (along with a $4000 water bill!!!). I am trying to remember who we used, because they came at a moment's notice, worked in the dark, and got ot fixed pretty quickly. Found it! Jim Dandy Sewer and Plumbing.
Evelyn D. answered:
You might try SERVCO Water & Sewer - TJ Johnson - 1-877-466-6445. I had great service from him and they came highly recommended by my insurance company. My issue didn't involve digging up my driveway - but I suspect they do that too because that's what my insurance covers.
Carol F. answered:
I just had Apollo plumbing replace 133 ft of pipe, trenchless. paid 4 k less than a friend who had 120 ft replaced
Donald R. answered:
In some cases it may be cheaper to abandon the old line and install a new one. Maybe cheaper than a new driveway?
Greg B. answered:
thanks so much everyone for the advice! I love my community. In my case my driveway needs slab repair anyway and the leak has only caused it to sink lower. I will start calling the recommendations this morning. again thanks so much for the quick replies.
Catherine W. answered:
Call NUD first. Are you on a private road? PM me for further info after you call Northshore Utility District. I can share our experience. We have pretty in depth experience with this.
