I've been doing that and it has made it 10X worse! They eventually die but I don't think I am dealing with something small here. More and more keep coming in! Luckily we don't have an issue in the kitchen!

Dish soap and water or vinegar and water But best thing to do is figure out where they are coming in from and seal it up with clear silicon

Terro liquid is the best ....not any other other Terro.... little bottle of liquid Dals Pest is then next best
