Agreed with Russell As a retired DJ I will part defend him as well if the dance floor was full and people having a good time I understand it was your party and you booked him but sometimes requested songs are on a DJ floor killers list and everyone will go sit down or he did not have them

Isn't this a bit like going to a pop concert and getting upset because they won't play another artists songs? If it spoilt your night because he didn't play a few requested songs you weren't having a very good night to begin with.

So if you booked a caterer and asked for a hog roast and they turned up with ham sandwiches and said they couldn't get the equipment for a hog roast would that be ok? If it was a private party and they are paying for his services the least he could do is say he didn't have the requested songs
