Oh crap...my 31 inch band (that is what it measures now) on my Patrick Green drum carder just broke and I have a lot of carding planned before I leave town this coming weekend. Why oh why do I not own a back up! I tried to melt it back together and glue it back together but nothing held (it is really, really old). Anyone have any luck buying anything at Lowe's that will work as a drum carder band (or any other likely to be local store?). Any suggestions on where to order one fast? I'll try Susan's Fiber Shop and The Woolery in the morning and hope for the best. Any other suggestions? If I can't get the band in a hurry, any suggestions for great quality and cheap? TIA!

Alison Lehman Hori, I had the same thing happen. Used duct tape for a couple of weeks until they shipped me a new one. Love the Patrick Green carders!!!

oh. Thank you for the idea to try automotive parts store. I'm going to try that and hardware store this morning. Im sure Woolley and Susan's Fiber Shop can both help me. Just a question of how fast! Thanks so much for ideas!

Call Paula Simmons up at Pat Green's. She helped me when one of my band on my roving machine broke.
