Thread topic: Dog Groomer in Millstone, NJ

Carly A. asked: My dogs hate going to the groomers. The older one just gets nervous and shaky but will remain calm; the younger one will yelp, cry, act up and snap at the tools. Tried doing it myself, but it was not easy at all (and the haircut I gave him looks awful lol). Looking for recommendations on dog groomers and/or trainers in the area who are good at dealing with this kind of behavior? Any suggestions will help.

Lynn M. answered: Green leaf in millstone has a groomers. Also with trainers on site. They are excellent with all kinds of dogs

Coleen F. answered: I was told by my groomer after bringing my rescue to be groomed that I had "homework." She's a freak and a customer complained to the manager that she thought the groomer was hurting my dog. I assure you she was not and only holding her paw!!! She told me I should try to desensitize her by stroking her with a battery operated toothbrush or some thing similar. I did and it worked!!! Groomer said she thought I brought her a different dog. Anna B. answered: Bubbles away Jayne Gallagher is great with my dogs and I had an older dog and one who would act up but they love her and the whole staff now and aresting never stressed when they come out only happy!
