Robyn M. asked: Does anybody know of a good vet in or around Manchester? I was taking my cat to Caring Hands on Southwillow St. But they want to sedate my cat for an yearly exam and I am not ok with that!

Erin F. answered: Lockridge

Karen M. answered: I have been bringing my pets there for several years now and they have never wanted to sedate my cat or dogs for a yearly so there must be more to this story ...is your cat aggressive? Just doesn't make sense... what was the reason they gave you?

Karen C. answered: Caring hands are the worst. Trust me.
Facebook reviewer avatar
Jeanne M. answered: Ark animal care. They'll come to your house. I have two VERY skittish cats, and they always manage to examine them without sedation. They are great. And no need to crate up the cat. http://www.arkanimalhomecare.com/mobileveterinarianhome.php

Lisa R. answered: Deerfield Vet. If your cat is aggressive... I can see why but if not then not need for sedation.

Lisa M. answered: Caring hands sucks... they kilked my dog! My dog developed fly strike while camping in Maine. They shaved her in some spots and gave me a external cream... which did nothing! Fly strike is an internal maggot infestation which is more of a farm animal issue... it is treatable, but because they did not offer her proper treatment, it progressed beyond treatable and she had to be put down... heading torwards derry past AVC there is a vet office I don't remember the name but I've heard great things about them, and know a rescue that also uses them...

Bridget M. answered: Honestly been going to Caring Hands forever and I have 9 animals...currently my pit is waiting on test results for lymphoma. ...I trust whatever decision for treatment that Tim recommends....he always has the animal's best interests in mind first and foremost ...I will not let another vet treat my fur babies ...1 st rule...trust your vet..

Jen S. answered: All of our cats have only ever been to Goffstown Animal Hospital. We are happy with them.

Pat P. answered: Ark Animal Home Care. I can't say enough good things about them. Check out their website--caring, compassionate staff--best decision I made after my vet left the area. This has always been a multi pet household and I have found the overall cost to be less, and the cats are never stressed because they don't have to travel in the hated carrier. The dog just about opens the door for Dr. & assistant when they arrive--she loves them. The Ark is a traveling surgery center--surgery in your driveway. And although sad, when our 21 year old cat Blackie had to be euthanized, it was in his favorite bed on the couch--no stress--no fear (just the usual lot of tears). Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Take a moment to call and talk to Dr.Feltz. I am sure things will be cleared up. You honestly could not ask for a better place to take care of your animals. Good luck!
