Hi
I am a 40 year old male suffering from anxiety and depression.
I have been putting on a brave face and weathering it for many years now.
I have used drinking to try and help me get through and hide my issues.
I have found it is getting to the point where I finally have to reach out and get the help I need.
I don't have a regular GP but am seeking recommendations for great GPs and mental health professionals to ensure I get the right help I need
TIA

There is a Counselling service for Men and Teenage Males specifically in Mudgeeraba Simon is a blokes type who men are comfortable with and this is the reason he started his business I know it's a bit of a drive But worth it You should be able to get a Mental Health Plan from.a GP. There are GP's on the coast who specialise with mens health If you need a good one I can give you their details also

You’ve taken the first step.. congratulation.. just keep talking.. I’ve been in a similar situation. And it feels like no one cares, when in fact they do.. some more genuine than others, and they are hard to find.

Great that you've come forward and asked for help. Go to Dr James Powers at Myhealth Pacific Fair. Ask him for a referral to Craig Halt (psychologist). Great results. Good luck and again good on you for getting help.
