Leah S. answered: I had cancer & was bald at the beginning of last year. I bought a wig & will be up at Bateau Bay from Wednesday. It was from bondi junction & expensive. I wore it about 4 times. I have the special shampoo & conditioner for it & would love to give it to your grandmother. Call me to arrange pickup. 0424599005.

Carly T. answered: Google "look good feel better" it's a charity that helps women going through cancer and chemo and talks about things you can do with to help make yourself feel beautiful, they have wigs, hairdressers and make up artists that they work with. I took my mum to one of their workshops on the coast and it was a great afternoon!

Sachelle H. answered: She should have been given information about a charity who make a wig free of charge called wigwam. There is also a wonderful program called 'look good feel great' for all ages who let her put on and keep makeup, and she tries on head wear and wigs. Ask her social worker or cancer nurse, they can help out. Also, if she cuts her hair short it might help with the transition of going bald or thinning. Sending love, I know what emotions she is going through and its not easy ❤

Stephanie W. answered: There’s a place in Newcastle who I got my daughter’s wig through. I sent a few photos of what her hair used to look like and they colour matched it as close they could and I chose a style as close to it. Very happy. Wig wam at gosford hospital is where my mum got hers for free. They helped her try on at least 6 and all different kinds including fringe pieces to wear with hats etc. It’s a beautiful thing you’re doing for you’re nan but a hairdresser will only be able to shave/clip it evenly.
