Ashley D. answered: We just made the trip and took the bus from San Jose with no problems. The tickets were less than $10 and the trip took about 3 hours. Arrive at the bus station early, especially if you take the 9 am bus. We stayed at Hotel Mimos pretty cheap ($50/night). There are like, 4 pools and an inexpensive restaurant there, plus more (and better) restaurants in walking distance. Once you're in town, you can take the local bus between your hotel and manuel antonio for 315 colones. It runs every 15 minutes or so, very convenient. Check out the Feria in Quepos on Friday night or Saturday morning if you have the time!
