Mazda/Rx-8/Rotary mechanics in NOVA? I purchased a Mazda Rx-8 a few months ago and took it to the dealer when I first purchased it. I recently had the check engine...

PBC has been around and knows rotaries for many, many years. With an RX-8, please get a OBD scanner and read out the CEL for yourself so you at least have a code to reference when calling them. It is a very simple engine and most issues are fairly obvious. That being said, if/when the go wrong, it can go wrong quick. Could be a simple o2 sensor, or gascap, or it could be something more serious like an intake leak. That simple reading can let you know if you can continue driving or need to stop post haste.

You can get a code reader for like $20. I got one from fixt. Even if you're not interested in working on your car, it's good to know what needs to be done when you go into the mechanic's.

Japanese Auto Clinic on Lee Highway does great work and they’re very honest.

It's the opposite of NoVa and probably not what you're looking for, but at least for novelty, I want to point out that Angel Motorsports (the Vargas Brothers, who some may know from Hoonigan on YT) is also in Virginia https://www.angelmotorsports.com/

If you're near Springfield (Mixing bowl) I can put it on my new scanner on it. No charge to scan and take a look. If the engine light is blinking then try not to drive it till you can get it fixed. If its blinking that means it has a active misfire.

"RP preformance" up by summit point, Bret knows his rotarys. Also get an OBDll scanner, itll save you some headache and maybe some money down the road.
Does anyone know how to change brake pads? My expedition needs new brakes. I have pads, just not the know - how to do it myself, or the money to pay a mechanic....
