I am seeking advice from all you travellers.
My sister's husband had a perforated bowel and had an emergency operation in Florida last december. They have GMS Travel insurance who approved everything at the time but now are not approving it stating that it was an existing condition.
All his doctors both in canada and US say that it is not a preexisting condition. If a bowel perforates it is an emergency situation.
The cost of this hospital bill is of course $75000 US.
She has no money to hire a lawyer and he now has cancer. Talk about everything going wrong at the same time!.
Has anyone been subjected to this treatment by insurance companies and do you have some suggestions to pass on.
Sure would appreciate every bit of advice you can give.
cheers and enjoy your summer
