We are very excited to introduce to you our first Chinese vegetarian restaurant in Manchester. Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen is an independent family business and we have been in the catering industry for over 20 years.
With a passion for food we moved to England from Hong Kong in the early 1980’s hoping to introduce the taste from home to more people around the world. Over the years we have opened a few successful non-vegetarian Chinese restaurants and take-ways across Manchester, however we felt that it was time to move on and pursue our new dream.
My wife and I have been vegetarians for many years and we strongly believe in a healthy diet and lifestyle. Having travelled abroad to places such as Hong Kong, Canada and Taiwan, we visited many vegetarian restaurants and were inspired by the creativity of the dishes. We want to share some of our favourite home vegetarian recipes and newly created dishes to even more people in the UK, so we decided to open Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen.
At our restaurant we have a no-smoking and no-drinking policy as we hope our customers enjoy our food in a comfortable, warm and relaxing atmosphere.
I’m going to Manchester this weekend and I’m looking for somewhere to go for dinner! Preferably not expensive and lots of good veggie options :-)

Does anyone know a Chinese takeaway in Chorlton which is good for vegans or vegetarians please?

Yeopans has pretty good choice, but not sure if they share fryers with meat and such. Also for vegan options call and check, they coat some of the faux meats in an egg batter. If you can make a trip out. Lotus Vegetarian Kitchen is incredible :)
